It is evident today, how far we have come since 1992, back when the Blythe Street Project was established by Margaret Rose Welch and Socorro Meza. As of six years ago, Casa Esperanza has been privileged to provide its services out of a lovely Spanish style center – a safe haven for our youth. Since 20 years ago, the quality of life has improved for many of our families on Blythe Street. We are helping to empower our youth to stay out of gangs and are graduating high school. Not only are they graduating HS, they are also starting to make positive changes in their family’s lives.
